Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
SuDS is now a requirement under Planning Approval. Satisfying the Planning Drainage Conditions will require drainage drawings, details and Micro Drainage calculations to be formally submitted for approval. This information, together with a manhole schedule, can be used to obtain Building Regulations Approval.
Rainwater harvesting can be incorporated into a SuDS scheme. The harvested rainwater can be used to flush toilets, fill domestic washing machines and water gardens, reducing consumption of clean drinking water.
SuDS is also a requirement of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH), BREEAM and the London Plan.
We specialise in producing the SuDS design scheme and supporting documentation for submission to the Local Planning Authority.
In some situations the SuDS documentation has to be submitted to the Environment Agency and the Local Drainage Authority.
